Finished chaos Aspiring Champion

As I told you in last WIP post this guys was almost done.Today I did the last finishing touches, I lost quite a lot motivation to finish this one but just because I started him I had to finish him and I did! so enough talking for now click the read more button to see some more photos.

Back to painting the Aspiring champion. This was yesterday evening.. so yeah almost done with him. well you could say finely ;).

And another pic when I started painting the shadows of the ax. I haven't made more pics while painting but with a little luck I can finish this guy tonight.

quick WIP for the aspiring champion

Phone pic! ;) So I have painted some more of the grey nmm, from a distance it looks quit good but coming closer i am not 100% happy with it. But yeah nmm is not something you do totally right the first time and if you never try you will never succeed. So this project is coming to a end and I must say I am getting a little exited, the result is something real differences then I thought it would be at the beginning but I am quit happy with it anyway. 

Next is the nmm gold and the backpack so one more WIP post and you will see this mini finished ;)

WIP Aspiring Champion 3 first layers of nmm

We are here again with the Aspiring champion, I have painted the daemonic armor parts and did the weathering. I have putted everything together besides the backpack and started painting the first layer of nmm. I have only done the first shade so it's quite hard to see it at some places but i just wanted to show the progress, so have a look.

For the ax i thought it was easier to build up from dark to light instead of a middle color to darker and lighter. So you don't see a lot there. I haven't started painting the gold nmm to because i am still figuring out which colors to use for that. 

Also i am wondering what kind of text to put on the display base, for now i think "The Galaxy shall burn" is nice. If somebody got another suggestion tell me him!

more WIP pics

It took a while for this update, the main reason is that i was on a camp the whole weekend. Lot of fun, a little sleep but sadly no painting. The WIP pics are from the aspiring champion and a forest I m making for my Warhammer scenery.

WIP Aspiring Champion 2

More progress on the aspiring champion today, but first this is how my workplace looked after today:

I think i need a new kitchen paper to clean my brushes ;), The thing you see at your right is a "wet palette" very handy because it takes way longer before the paints dry out then on a normal palette. I found a tutorial for making one here. Hit the read more button for the aspiring champion pics.

WIP Aspiring Champion

You might know that i am a champion in doing a lot of things at once, and that must be the main reason that it took so long before this update came. Also painting white is quite a hate if you started with a white base coat ;)

These are a phone pics, so the quality  isn't the best

I chose orange as my spot color, mostly used for eyes. The skulls and the little piece of cloak are already finished. 

The breast plate, normal painting is done(again a orange spot color) the only things that are left are the nmm, weathering and battle damage.

The arm with ax, same as above only the nmm, weathering and battle damage need to be done.

So I finely started painting the guy for my display base it's the Chaos Space Marine Aspiring Champion here some WIP pics from his right arm(with the power axe)

The color scheme is pre-heresy world eaters and this mini will be my first attempt at non metallic metal.

I got more, it took a really long time  but i also started painting the Warplightning cannon crew, this is the guy with the telescope.
